Invisalign Lite: straighten your teeth at our boutique dental clinic

Invisalign Lite is a teeth-straightening treatment package, designed for people with mild to moderate misalignment. Made from translucent SmartTrack material the aligners gently move your teeth to the desired position, following a digital treatment plan created after your initial appointment.

Invisalign Lite is the perfect alternative for those whose lifestyle or profession makes wearing a fixed brace an inconvenient solution. The removable aligners allow for unparalleled freedom – simply remove your braces when the occasion requires and pop them back in when ready.

Invisalign Lite vs Invisalign Full: the difference

Both Invisalign Lite and Invisalign Full have the same treatment components – a digital treatment plan, translucent sets of aligners made from Invisalign’s SmartTrack material, small tooth-coloured attachments which help the aligners move your teeth. The most significant difference between both treatments is the expected duration and the associated cost.

While Invisalign Lite comes with a set of 14 aligners and has an approximate treatment duration of 12 months, Invisalign Full offers unlimited aligners and can last 15 or 24 months. This difference in time also affects suitable cases and the expected results. Invisalign Lite, for example, is ideal for mild to moderate cases, while Invisalign Full can address more complex needs and even assist with bite correction.

Benefits of Invisalign Lite treatment

Inconspicuous

With Invisalign Lite, your smile will not hide behind attachments and wires! The translucent aligners are practically invisible.

Predictable results

You’ll be able to preview your final results before you even start your treatment, knowing what to expect at the end.

Known timeframe

Invisalign’s ClinCheck treatment plan, provided to you at the beginning of your treatment, will tell you the expected duration before you even begin.

Who is a candidate for Invisalign Lite?

Invisalign braces over teeth

Invisalign Lite is suitable for mild to moderate teeth-straightening treatments. In translation to real-life cases, this means that it can be helpful to you if you would like to:

  • straighten a mildly crooked smile, where your teeth are pushed together, but not enough to overlap;
  • close a few gaps on your teeth if your bite is overall correct and your teeth are not protruding.

Because Invisalign Lite comes with only 14 aligners, there’s a limit to what you can achieve with this treatment. If you’re looking to correct a bite or straighten protruding teeth (overjet), you may need to consider either Invisalign Comprehensive (also known as Invisalign Full) or fixed braces.

Invisalign Lite for exceptionally busy people

If your lifestyle involves plenty of travelling and you are struggling to commit to regular visits to the clinic, then we have the perfect solution for you. At LDN Dental, we’re delighted to offer remote dental appointments for our Invisalign patients.

With the help of Dental Monitoring, your very own smartphone will convert into an advanced digital dental scan. Using the app and device we will provide you with, you will be able to submit a dental scan for your orthodontist to review from anywhere in the world. This will help you ensure your treatment is on track and doesn’t suffer from delays, even when you can’t visit the clinic.

What to expect from your treatment

Invisalign Lite braces Central London

Our specialist orthodontist will take a digital scan of your teeth during your first appointment and send it to the Invisalign lab. Together with the specialists from the Invisalign team, we will design your treatment plan and share it visually with you to approve before your treatment begins.

Once you approve your treatment plan, the first few sets of aligners will be manufactured for you and delivered to our clinic. On your initial appointment, our orthodontist will bond the attachments (small tooth-coloured buttons which help the aligners move your teeth) and show you how to put your aligners in and remove them easily.

We will then need to see you every 6 or 8 weeks to track your progress unless you opt for remote dental appointments *.

* Provided with the help of Dental Monitoring at an additional cost.
