Dr Brugnami specialises in periodontics – the branch of dentistry focused on the supporting structures of teeth and diseases and conditions that affect them (bone, gums). He packs 20 years of experience and is also:
- Awarded the Young Investigator Fellowship of The American Academy of Periodontology [1996];
- The first European to be Board Diplomate of The American Board of Periodontology [1998];
- Author of a book on the subject of Wilckodontics published in 2014 (sold more than 1000 copies worldwide);
- Author of a book in multi-disciplinary therapy to accelerate orthodontic movement;
- Author of numerous publications in the field of periodontology and implants.
The treatments he is most known for are implantology, bone grafting, and aesthetic gum treatments such as periodontal plastic surgery.
